Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials (BPIHT)

The most prestigious competition in the eventing calendar

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials takes place between 19 -22 September 2024 in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace. The event promises four days of action-packed, exciting competition with some of the best equestrian athletes in the world competing in the two FEI competitions; CCI4*-L and CCI4*-S (8 & 9 year old championship). In 2023, Ros Canter, who was FEI Eventing World number one took the honours in the CCI4*-L on Izilot DHI, whilst current World number one, Oliver Townend and his ride Cooley Rosalent took first place in the CCI4*-S.

There are also grassroots competitions at BPIHT which provide an incredible opportunity for riders to compete on one of the biggest stages alongside the best horse and rider competitions in the world. The much-loved Eventer Challenge is open to teams of riders who are members of their local Riding Club or Pony Club who have the option to compete in either the 90cm or 100cm classes. The grassroots dressage riders have not been forgotten, with the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) Southern Regional Championships taking place at the event.

For families visiting the event, there are a whole host of things to see and do including exciting demonstrations, have-a-go dog agility, a big wheel and food and drink options to suit any tastebud.

When you’re not in the grandstands around the main arena or out on the cross-country course immersed in the action, why not sample the extensive shopping. Having added more tradestands than in previous years, there is everything from clothing, footwear and equine essentials to doggy delights, luxury linens and wines – truly something for everyone.

If you’re looking to make your visit a special one, why not take a look at our members and VIP offerings – take a seat in the ringside Members garden with access to the members café or experience a three-course lunch, a VIP lounge, expert commentary and exclusive rider interviews in the VIP Pavillion. Enjoy a picnic with lakeside parking or be more central with in-show parking. Standard parking is free though and buggies will be available to shuttle you to the car park should your legs feel weary after all the shopping you do!

If you’re looking to level-up your horse trials picnic, let us take the hard work and preparation away! Fortnum & Mason will be offering their famously delicious picnic hampers, which will be available to purchase through the box office very soon!

Make a weekend of it by booking into a glamping spot in a fully furnished and carpeted Bell Tent or bring your own tent or motorhome for a camping experience within walking distance of the action.

Visit the Box Office to book your tickets now!
