Competitions for gundogs and shooting such as The Gundog International and Game Fair 50 bird Sporting make a great spectacle, but if you want to give something a go yourself, there’s opportunities to try clay shooting, fly fishing, coarse fishing, fly tying and you can even bring your dog to enter one of our have-a-go competitions – Bale jumping, Open, Scramble, the Novice and Junior Scurry, as well as BASC’s own Scurry competitions – you may even win one of our daily prizes!

The main arena will be alive with action including hound Parades, Scurry Driving, Mounted Games, Falconry, Freddy Steele with his stunning horses in a Spectacle of Equitation, Inter Hunt Relay, oh and of course the Shetland Pony Grand National which is loved by all!

If a bit of retail therapy is needed, you can browse and shop from hundreds of exhibitors and trade stands. From bespoke countryside attire and artisan crafts to the latest outdoor gear and equipment, shopping enthusiasts will find plenty to explore and take home. It’s a perfect opportunity to find unique items and gifts that embody the spirit of the countryside.

The VIP Enclosure, sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment (UK), is the place to be at The Game Fair – whether you want the best of British hospitality, an exclusive space that allows you to escape the crowds for a few relaxing hours, a private cash bar for a cosy drink with friends or a ringside seat for the best entertainment in the Main Arena.

When you book tickets for the VIP Enclosure, you’ll also get the chance to get up close and personal with some exciting celebrities. Chef James Martin will be returning to cook up a storm and gives you the opportunity to indulge in some fine cuisine prepared by James himself. With sustainable food sources a priority, many of the ingredients are sourced from the Palace itself or the local area.

If cocktails are your thing, you won’t want to miss TV’s best-known Bartender, Merlin Griffiths who will be shaking things up at the bar on Friday and Saturday, showcasing his two cocktails created exclusively for the event – a Rose Garden Spritz and Devil-May-Care, the latter being alcohol-free.

Renowned television personalities and stars of the beloved series “Escape to the Chateau,” Dick and Angel Strawbridge, are bringing their charm and expertise. The dynamic duo will be hosting the VIP Enclosure, alongside James on the Sunday of the event, adding an extra layer of excitement, culinary expertise and crafting know-how.
